Police arrest suspect after she allegedly hit fiancé with her car

A Buena Park woman was apprehended Friday after allegedly hitting her fiancée with her car twice before attempting to run over foot officers and a police chase down Pacific Coast Highway, officials said.

Maureen Geddie, 65, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, hit-and-run, and driving under the influence of alcohol and was booked Friday into the Huntington Beach Jail, said Lt. Russell Reinhart, in an e-mail.

Geddie allegedly had an argument with her fiancée about 7:45 p.m. Friday in the beach parking lot on Pacific Coast Highway and Sixth Street and got into the car.
