PHOTO: A place in the sun

A California sea lion named Pablo, rests in the sun while receiving much needed rest and rehab at the Pacific Marine Mammal Center in Laguna Beach. According to center officials, many sea lions that have arrived at the center  in critical condition.  Volunteers are working to nurse the sea lions back to health and have seen progress with many, such as Pablo.

    Hi Don. are you aware of the pelican starvation crisis which is happening up and down the pacific coast since JAN.2010? El nino has been named as the culprit. Preferred food sources are not available to catch. I would suspect thta the same is happening to the sea lions. Thanks. Jamie Pavlat. Wetlands and Wildlife care center. Please let me know what info you find.
