Susan G. Komen honors breast cancer survivors

The Orange County Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure honored five individuals during the organization’s MasCUREade celebration.

Jane Hill, a 20-year survivor, received the Most Inspirational Breast Cancer Survivor award;  Kathy Voorhis, who survived two breast cancer diagnoses, also received the Most Inspirational Breast Cancer Survivor award; Jane Ka’ala Pang, received the Most Inspirational Breast Cancer Co-Survivor for standing beside her husband, Victor Pang, while battling breast cancer; and Marcie Smith received the Outstanding Breast Health Advocate.

The MasCUREade, which was held last Friday, celebrates wellness. The event was organized by breast cancer survivor Rebecca Hultquist and her sister and co-survivor , Laura Melendez.
